The Townsville Life Drawing group is a small group of Artists with varying ability and age ranges. It offers an occasion to share knowledge and experience in the tropical environment of my veranda and garden. Southern visitors are always welcome. There is a midmorning break, for provided Tea, Coffee, cake or biscuits. We generally have a few warm up poses and then some longer ones. The model varies although we sometimes have the same model for a couple of consecutive sessions allowing those interested to paint or sketch on their Artwork for a longer periods of time.

Life Drawing gives Artists the invaluable opportunity to improve drawing skills. Drawing from life gives us that unique chance to connect with our other world and can be a part of a meditative process. While using photographs can be useful on occasion, life drawing gives us the opportunity to see things from every angle how they work; at the same time keeping us more in contact with our emotional self and that of the environment. It is so important in our Artwork to connect with our world.
